and Waste Management Association (AWMA) will hold its March meeting in the
Banquet Room at the Golden Corral Buffet and Grill (10415 Central Avenue NE, northeast
corner at Eubank) in Albuquerque
on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 11:30 a.m.

Mike Schneider, New Mexico
Environment Department’s (NMED) Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions
Inventory Specialist, will present: “Overview
of GHG Emissions Reporting and Inventory Results.” Mike will
provide an overview of the 2008 New Mexico Title V GHG emissions inventory
results and discuss highlights from NMED’s
Inventory of New Mexico Greenhouse Gas Emissions: 2000 – 2007 (A.K.A. “The
2007 Update”). 2008 marked the first year New Mexico required reporting of GHG
emissions, and he will discuss the sources covered, the GHG methods used to
calculate emissions, data caveats, lessons learned,
and provide results of an analysis of emissions reported. The 2007 Update has
been compiled as mandated in Governor Bill Richardson’s Executive
Orders (05-033 and 2006-69) to provide an update regarding trends of
greenhouse gas emissions in the State.
He will provide a summary of New
Mexico’s GHG emissions key findings and
trends 2000 – 2007. For more information about NMED’s
